Drugstore Make Up Hauls – Featuring E.L.F. and Rimmel London

Hi my lovelies,

I have been on a bit of a spending spree lately. If you follow me on Instagram, then you’ll know this already! I placed a couple of orders from EyesLipsFace (E.L.F.) UK, and another from Rimmel London. E.L.F. is a drugstore cosmetic company based in the US, which up until recently had a UK distributor, selling all of their products from their warehouse in Wales. I realised this only when I sat down to place my first order, and was faced with this:

This meant that all the products I had on my wishlist, their most popular products, were already sold out. However, I continued to browse the site, and quickly filled up my cart with heavily discounted products. I had to spend £30 to qualify for free delivery – who likes to pay for shipping? So after patiently waiting for ten days, my order finally arrived.

I was really impressed with the quality of products, that I decided to place a second order. Unfortunately, more of the products had sold out, so there wasn’t a lot of variety left. I still managed to select £30 worth of products, to qualify for the free delivery. My package arrived sooner than expected.

There are still a few items remaining on the E.L.F. UK website, so I suggest you take a look if anything catches your eye – everything is now reduced to £1 or less!

My second haul wasn’t so large. I wanted to try the Rimmel Exaggerate Automatic Lip Liners. Superdrug has a ‘3 for 2’ offer across all cosmetics, with a free makeup bag with purchase. I thought I’d take advantage of this, as the Lip Liners are usually £3.99 each. There are six shades in the collection – I find it difficult to select shades online, as I don’t think the images on the website are always correct representations of the actual colour. I liked the look of all six of them, and certainly wasn’t disappointed when they arrived:

Boots also has the same ‘3 for 2’ offer on Rimmel cosmetics, if you can’t find the shades you are looking for at Superdrug.

Swatches and reviews will be coming soon, but I didn’t want to delay putting this post up, so you could take advantage of some of these offers. Did you get anything from the E.L.F. UK closing down sale, or from the Superdrug ‘3 for 2’ offer with the makeup bag? Feel free to link your posts in the comments section so we can all check them out.

Latifa xx

  1. I have yet to place an online order for ELF cosmetics – I come across the brand here and there in Canada, mostly at Winners (same as TKMaxx in the UK) or small shops. But I like browsing on the ELF site to see what they have. I can’t believe they have such deep discounts combined with the fact that their prices are so LOW to begin with! I can’t wait to see your reviews on the products in the future! 😀 (I live vicariously through you since I’m on No Buy mode lol!)
By the way, not sure if you saw, but I nominated you for the Real Neat Blog Award:

The questions I posed for you are at the bottom of the post. 🙂

  2. Whoa! That’s plenty of makeup to keep you company! I’ve actually never tried e.l.f. products. I’ve been meaning to try them but since it’s relatively cheap here in Sydney, what products would you recommend to try first?

    1. They didn’t have a lot of the stuff I wanted to try. The Studio line brushes are supposed to be great, as well as the baked blushes/highlighters. I really liked the cream eyeliners and the shimmer eyeliner pencil, maybe try those in colours you’d be comfortable wearing. I’d love to hear what you get and your thoughts on it. xx
