I wasn’t planning on doing this post today, but as I was browsing through my Instagram feed, I saw a flash sale advertised on the Natural Collection Cosmetics Instagram Page, and I had to share it with you all. All of their products are temporarily available for £1 each (usually £1.99), only redeemable online at www.boots.com, by entering the code NCCONLY1 at checkout. The code is valid until the 14th June 2015, so go on, grab yourself a bargain!
Natural Collection Cosmetics is a UK based (drugstore/high street) cosmetic company, available at Boots online and in-store. Their prices are very affordable, without compromising on quality.
Hello again my lovelies,
I’ve, slowly but surely, been working my way through all the products from my ELF hauls. E.L.F. (Eyes Lips Face) is a cosmetic company which started in the US in 2004, with the “mission to provide customers with quality cosmetics at low prices”.
As before, I wanted to use the products properly before I reviewed them for you, and due to the sheer volume, it’s taken a while. I’ve split all the products up into three categories – eyes, lips and face (I wonder where I got the inspiration for that!). You can find Part 1 (EYES) here, and today I bring you Part 2 – A review of all the lip products I got.
EyesLipsFace (E.L.F.) is a cosmetic company which started in the US in 2004, with the “mission to provide customers with quality cosmetics at low prices”. After hearing glowing reviews for over a decade, I wanted to try their products for myself. Upon visiting the E.L.F. UK website, I was faced with the message that the UK distributor had “decided to leave the e.l.f. family and embark on [their] own new, exciting adventure in beauty”. I was disappointed to see none of the items on my wishlist were in stock, but I did what any make up lover would do and took advantage of the stock clearance discounts and ended up placing two orders, the details of which can be found here.

Today marks three months since I started this blog, and without getting too soppy, I have been overwhelmed by the kindness and support I have received. My family have been my number one fans, who make me feel like a celebrity, and I won’t belittle them by thanking them for their constant love. Then there are the lovely people I have met through this blog or blog-related social media… I never thought I would make such good friends, in such a short time. Oh my goodness, this is starting to sound like an acceptance speech for The Oscars, but the award I have been nominated for means no less to me!
Hi my lovelies,
I have been on a bit of a spending spree lately. If you follow me on Instagram, then you’ll know this already! I placed a couple of orders from EyesLipsFace (E.L.F.) UK, and another from Rimmel London. E.L.F. is a drugstore cosmetic company based in the US, which up until recently had a UK distributor, selling all of their products from their warehouse in Wales. I realised this only when I sat down to place my first order, and was faced with this:
I’ve had dry lips for as long as I can remember and they are dry all. year. round! Lips can become dry and chapped for a number of reasons, including extreme weather conditions or dehydration. Licking lips or picking at them will only irritate them, and dry them out even more. Regular use of a lip balm will help to retain the moisture in our lips, and prevent them from chapping. Lip balms contain petroleum or beeswax to seal in the moisture, and act as a barrier against the wind and sun. There are many varieties available; in a pot or in stick form, different flavours/scents, medicated, offering Sun Protection Factor (SPF), to name a few.
I got my first L’Oréal Color Riche Lipstick as part of the L’Oréal free gift promotion, at Boots during the Christmas period. I was really impressed with the packaging and the quality of the product itself, and made a mental note to purchase more from the same range.
Fast forward to last Friday (March the 27th) and it was the 30th “birthday” of L’Oréal’s Color Riche Lipsticks so for one day only they were reduced to £3 (normally £6.99) at Superdrug. On top of this fabulous offer, Superdrug also had a ‘3 for 2’ on all L’Oréal products. So what did I do? I ordered six lipsticks for the wonderful price of £12 – it was a no-brainer really (which I had to explain to HD whilst placing the order, judging by the look of confusion on his face as to why I needed more lipsticks)! For once my procrastination actually paid off, and I made a saving of nearly £30.00!
The shades on offer were the Color Riche 30 years shades, so a lot of the newer, more popular shades were not a part of this promotion. My parcel arrived yesterday and as you can imagine, I was very excited. Here are the six shades I purchased, along with my original one:
